(Sunday) tunes 52

Albums
Cat Power – Sun – Great album quite Laura Marling. Cheers HJ
Hudson Taylor – Battles – A little We Are Hunter discovery. Only 4 tracks. I want more!
Summer Heart – About A Feeling – Electro atmospheric chill-out blended with solid band parts and some echoy vocals. A great sound, so pleased with this find!

Tracks
Passenger – The Wrong Direction – A happy summer tune (shame it’s September!), reminds me of a less bluesey Jamie Lidell
Passenger – Holes – Folky acoustic, a stand-out from the album
Cat Power – Ruin – Been obsessed with this tune for the last half of the week. Awesome bass in the chorus
Cat Power – Human Being – A different track on many on the album. A bit more Fink-esque, for lack of a better comparison
Summer Heart – I Wanna Go – Was hooked on this track for a good week too!
Hudson Taylor – Battles – Everyone listen to this guy. He’s like a solo Mumford.
Hudson Taylor – Drop of Smoke – And an example of what he can do with more of a band behind him!
Two Door Cinema Club – Sun – I know I posted the album last time, but now I’ve listened to it. Anyone keen to see them in the New Year?
Two Door Cinema Club – Wake Up – Big festival tune for 2013?
Two Door Cinema Club – Pyramid – Totally love the harmonics on the verses
alt-J – Bloodflood – Another totally beautiful tune from this fella
Patrick Alavi – How Much That Means To Me - Miguel Campbell Re-Edit – Think of RJD2 and Daft Punk. What is the name of the dude with the opening voice-over?!
Azealia Banks – 1991 – Super cool build up to this one and some grimy rap
Duran Duran – Nice - Eric Prydz Mix – Quality quality dance remix from Prydz
Feed Me – Little Cat Steps - Original Mix – And some mandatory screw-face
