Friday tunes 55

Merry Christmas all!

Albums
C2C – Tetra – New album from the former DJ Mixing Champions

Single tracks
Keaton Henson – Sweetheart, What Have You Done To Us – Gorgeous echoy vocals and guitar
Daughter – Landfill – Beautiful track from a beautiful album
Gaz Coombes – White Noise – Incredible track from the Supergrass vocalist
Wave Machines – Ill Fit – If MGMT were to chill-out and drop the tempo a little
The Rolling Stones – Miss You – This got so much play time after the O2 gig. Loving the bluesiness and Jagger’s voice
ALEK FIN – Naysayers – Sooo very very Radiohead-y. Dischord, minimalist, falsetto, off-beat percussion & a sweet big build-up to finish. Yum.
ALEK FIN – The Wayside – Abstract verses, and amazing dischord guitar coruses
ALEK FIN – Filling Silences – Like a lots from OK Computer and also ‘How to Disappear Completely’
ALEK FIN – Waiting Like a Wolf – Very minimalist up until 2:20, then breaks in to a beautiful phase lasting the entire 2nd half of the track
Mario & Vidis – Changed - Original Mix – Awesomely layered electronic track with cool male falsetto vocals
Mario & Vidis – Suspend The Feeling - Original Mix – Fave track from the album: gorgeous vocals from Giedre, cool reverberating bass and a solid beat
C2C – The Beat – Pretty cheesy lyrics, but good Lord, which a sweet bit of production. RJD2 all over
C2C – Down The Road – Really bluesy intro, then back to that RJD2 sound
Dusky – Stick By This – Super dark & chunky electro dance track – Cheers JC
